2012 Wishlist~

AAAAAHH GUYS! Christmas is almost here! I thought I'd like to show you all some of the things I want this year (actually, a lot.) As you can see, there are a lot of LUSH products I want this year, so I'll just list them all out now! (BRACE YOURSELVES THIS WILL TAKE A LONG TIME)

Cool Christmas Gift
This is the Cool Christmas giftset. I want this in particular out of all the gift sets this year because I've used the snowglobe soap before and not only is it cute, but it's smells really fruity and yummy! I also use a shower jelly almost everyday but I don't own whoosh, so I want to try it (and I could if i got this giftset!)
The Sweetest Thing
The next giftset I want is The Sweetest Thing gift. I already own the Sweetie Pie shower jelly and I love it! I'm about halfway done, so I could use another tub if I got this gift. The Godmother Soap is really cute and I've considered buying it before, because I love the smell. The same smell is in the Bubblegum lip scrub. I've always wanted to get the lipscrubs because I've tried them and they taste and smell really good, but the price always got me!
Tutti Fruity
I wanted this giftset because the Happy Hippy shower gel is amazing! It's citrusy, mainly grapefruity, and the Miranda soap is really scrubby and I'd want to try it someday before Buffy.
Buttercup
I've tried a sample of the Honey I Washed The Kids soap before and it's amazing. It leaves your skin super soft and it literally smells like fresh honey. I also haven't bought a bath bomb from LUSH before, and this gift set conveniently comes with a bath bomb.
Winter Wonderland Gift
If no one got me this gift set (probable), I'll buy it for myself. This comes with the Snowcake soap, which is a holiday product. It smells like almonds and leaves your skin ridiculously soft. It also comes with the Dream Cream lotion in a smaller version, to be used for your hands or body. To my knowledge, the smaller tub is still pretty big (I have facial moisturizers), and it would last pretty long. Like Snowcake, Dream Cream makes your skin super soft.
Ego
I've been looking at the massage bars, because I look at them every time I'm in the store but I never end up buying one. This one is infused with lavender and tarragon to calm you, and like everything else, keeps your skin soft like a baby's butt.
Therapy
This massage bar is called Therapy. This bar is infused with Neroli and lavender to keep the skin supple and strengthen the elasticity, but also soothes tension. There's cocoa butter in this too, and all of the oils and butters in this bar are Fair Trade.
Peace
Peace has a super calming and soft scent to it, and is made with Fair Trade cocoa beans like Therapy.

Even though I've been on this LUSH craze for a while now, I've never tried any of their bath bombs! Partially because I don't have a bath plug in my main bathtub, but also because of the price and because I wouldn't be able to choose just one! These are the ones I've narrowed it down to: Sex Bomb, Avobath, and Dragon's Egg. I've heard good things about Sex Bomb, and I know that it smells like flowers. Avobath striked me as interesting as first because I love the scent of avocados, and it's also described as "zingy." I wanted to try Dragon's Egg because it fizzes and bursts into a lot of different colors and glitter!

Not much to say about this, but I want this album. I love Lana Del Rey and her beautiful voice, and I'd love to have the new album!
I love Vera Bradley's prints and everything, but I'm not a fan of busy prints on purses. I do however, think that my laptop is really plain with just a black top. This laptop cover is cuttable to the size of your laptop, and I love this print!

This skirt is only $11.50 at Forever 21 right now and is super cute! It looks like a fake of the American Apparel A-Line skirt, which is around $50. The main difference (besides the quality and price) is that this skirt comes with a skinny belt.

I love psychology books, and this one seems really interesting. It's about a man who fakes being insane to go into this mental hospital and gets other patients to challenge the authority of a nurse. I'd love to read it and own it, and I know that I'll be doing work on it next year in school as well. so that's another plus.
Anyone who knows me well enough knows that I'm completely obsessed with Murakami novels. I own about 10 of them, and I have yet to read this one. It's about how there was a cult in a subway in Japan in 1995 that had attacked everyone with sarin (a gas 26x as deadly as cyanide). The book is a collection of stories from survivors and relatives of victims.
Not much to say about these. They're both from American Apparel, and the first is a lacy ankle sock. I want to wear these with a dress and a pair of flats or maybe my creepers. The next is a pair of the spiral tights. I love how unique these look, because even as simple as they are, you can't find them anywhere else. Lastly, I want the thigh high socks. I have a pair of thigh high's that are black, and I think that grey is the next convenient/wearable color.

That was pretty  long for me to make, and probably a lot less long to read. I hope you all enjoyed reading about everything I want this year.

111012 haul!

Hey guys! I went shopping yesterday and I got some pretty spectacular deals! Here's what I got:

Forever 21 had a really good sale, where everything that was already on sale was 50% off!
I got this light pink blazer there, and it had shortish baggy sleeves, but it still looked nice on.

Pink Blazer - $7.49
I also got this contrasting sleeve trench, it was a size big because it was the last one, but it was worth it!
Trench - $8.49

At JCPenney, I saw these shiny leggings a few weeks back for $10 but I had spent too much that day so I decided against it. I regretted it later up until yesterday, when I saw the price tag reduced it to $5! When I went to pay for it, the grand total was actually $4!! I was so excited.
Shiny Leggings - $4.00
Lastly, I never go into LUSH without walking out with a bag of things, so when I went in, I immediately began looking at all the new Holiday items. I got a small chunk of the new Snow Globe soap, which has a cute design and a slight citrusy scent. I also got FUN, which I've been wanting to try for a while now. It's a smushy, molding soap thing that you can use as a bubble bath, soap, and a shampoo! I was really excited to try it but it didn't really soap up well so I went back to using my beloved Sweetie Pie shower jelly.
Snow Globe sample - $2.07
FUN - $6.95

102412 LUSH shower jelly review!

So recently I've been using LUSH's shower jelly called Sweetie Pie. I really like it and two months in, I'm only about halfway through. I also bought LUSH's Halloween shower jelly, Calacas. I guess I'll review and compare both of them at once anyway.

First is Sweetie Pie! It's a dark purple and it smells like cherry cola but a little fruitier. It has little specks of blue glitter and is super iridescent and leaves your skin sparkly and smelling really nice. I think my skin has been softer and less dry since I've used Sweetie Pie too. Since I got the big jar, I usually take a quarter sized amount and crush it into my bath sponge and use it from there. It lathers really well.

sorry about the terrible picture, I wanted to show the glitter. HAHA

The next shower jelly is Calacas. It's around for Halloween, and it's kind of small and it's green, and it's also shaped like a skull (kind of.) It's a really strong artificial lime-y scent, but I like it. Since it's smaller, I could use it like a bar and rub it on my body directly, but I think that it would save it more if I just crushed bits into my sponge like my other shower jelly. I tried both ways in the shower today, and it was really slippery at first (because it's a jelly), so I just tried crushing it in my sponge. It's more solid than Sweetie Pie, so it was a little difficult to crush into my sponge, but I did eventually. It also lathered up well and made me smell nice.

Compareing the two, I think I like Sweetie Pie better because it's softer and I like the smell better. I'm about even in terms of quantity as of right now though :/

October Haul!

Hey guys! I don't shop a lot during the school year, but there were two days I went out, so here's my haul.

Earlier this month, I went thrifting with my friend, even though we only ended up getting things from Goodwill. I got two knit sweaters, one was a traditional tacky Christmas-y deer print that I really like, and a bright blue sweater with a big anchor on it. I can't find the anchor sweater as of right now, so I can't include a pic. Sorry! It was $7.99 I think.
Thrifted Christmas Sweater - Goodwill
$7.99

I also got to go thrifting and shopping today with my sister and I got two more sweaters at Goodwill. Gotta love sweaters. The first one I found really reminded me of the UNIF Flag sweater, so I got it because I liked the UNIF one in the first place. The next sweater I got I wasn't so sure about before I tried it on, but it looked pretty good on. I like how the spots' detail look like little hearts.

Thrifted Sweater - Goodwill
$7.99

Thrifted Sweater - Goodwill
$5.99

Lastly, I went to Forever 21 and I've been really liking their cross things lately. I saw this cardigan online and I thought it was cute, but nothing else. When I tried it on in the store, I ended up really liking it because it's more quality than the other clothes there and it looked really nice on. I also got a short black pleated skirt because I knew that I would be wearing it a lot not just for the next few weeks, but a lot later on too.
Cross Cardigan - $24.80
Pleated Skirt - $17.80

~*~**~~ LIFE REFLECTIONS*~*~

Wow, I'm not really sure why I needed to blog this, but I guess it was necessary. I just want to take a moment just to reflect on my life since a year ago.
I think this year has been a really good year so far, almost two months into the school year. Last year, I was just getting into high school from junior high, and I can still remember what that was like. Even though it was a year ago, it feels so long.
Looking back at last year, I honestly don't understand why I did the things I did, because I was really immature, and I had no motivation for school. I spent countless nights skyping with some friends instead of doing homework, and I didn't care about homework. I didn't care about anything, really. I wanted to hang out, I wanted to have fun, and I felt so cool because I had some friends who were older. Guess how many of them I still talk to, now that they all graduated? (none)
This year has been great for me because this is the first year I'm getting my life together. I'm doing really well in school in my opinion, I have almost all A's except a high B+ in AP Calculus. Besides my grades, I'm taking three AP classes. I've been looking into colleges. I've been reading tenfold the amount I read last year. I get an hour of exercise first thing in the morning. I eat healthier and snack less. I sleep at 9:00 every night. I joined four clubs this year and enjoy all of them. I'm going to volunteer twice a week at two different places. I don't dress like a scrub. I've made so many friends this year that I know I'll be able to stick with, ones that won't drift away like the ones I talked to last year (I'm not really sure if it's anyone's fault though.) They say junior year is the hardest, the most important. On top of everything that I just said, I honestly don't think that it's hard, and I wish so hard that I could take last year back. I shouldn't have let my grades slip away (I GOT A C+), and I shouldn't have wasted my time so much. Even with my busy schedule, I have time for my homework and I have time for reading and sleeping, and recently, a few holiday movies.
Even though I'm still immature and sometimes irresponsible, I still think that I've gone a long way since a year ago, and I'm really proud of myself.

Now on-the-dot problems, I worked 12-13 hours on my AP Studio Arts scratchboard project, and all I needed to do was  scratch in a face and I would've been done. I went into class and guess what? My teacher not only doesn't acknowledge the obvious hard work I did on the piece, but she points out that I should just keep the skin black. So I paint over the scratchboard person in India Ink and it's literally the most terrible thing ever. I mean, I know that if that was the best thing to do, I should've done it. But seriously, my piece is so ugly now, and the face is screwed up. I ruined my picture.
On top of that, I'm pretty sure that the teacher hates me. Like, she's really sweet and cute and I really like her, but I don't think she likes me. I try to get on her good side as much as I can, I say hi and bye when I walk in the door, I joined the Arts Honor Society, I work so hard on my pieces, and she'll point out every single one of my flaws quicker than she can adore everyone else's pieces. I know she's helping, but I can tell by her faces and her tone of voice she suddenly gets when she talks to me. I'll just say something to her and she'll look at me and nod, even if she's not talking to anyone or doing anything. Something that she would love someone else for. And even though I know that she doesn't like me, I still like her. But I don't understand.

That's a bit of a downer way to end this post, sorry.

OOTDs!

WOW SORRY I haven't posted in forever not that anyone looks at my posts anyway but w/e just to catch up since I don't have anything to blog about here are three really quick OOTDs!

OUTFIT ONE:
It wasn't very warm that day but it wasn't cold either so I paired a dress with thigh high socks (that I rolled down to my knees) and a crochet cardigan.

Dress - Forever 21
Thigh High Socks - Claire's
Crochet Cardigan - Thrifted
Necklace - Gift (originally from American Eagle)
OUTFIT TWO:
This day was officially the start of Autumn in Washington, and it is too bittersweet. It's that Seattle feeling of never really liking any weather, because literally a day before, it was pretty warm and sunny. But here again, is the gloomy Washington weather we've all come to hate, and no better way to start off sweater season with a sweater! The sweater I have here is a black oversize sweater I took from my mother's donation pile, then I sewed on the cat design myself.

Black Sweater - DIY/Mother
Jeans - Levi's
Creepers - Thrifted/TUK
Backpack - Forever 21
 OUTFIT THREE:
This was my outfit today, and it's still that gloomy Seattle weather. This was officially my first scarf day, and I paired my favorite scarf with my sister's heart cardigan (that I sadly, have to return after washing it.)
Skull Scarf - a scarf shop in San Francisco Chinatown
Cardigan - Sister/Forever 21
Black Button-up - H&M
Jeans - Levi's

090712-090912 HUGE WEEKEND HAUL

WOW I spent WAAAY too much money this weekend. I guess you could call it treating myself because of that terrible first week/three-days of school.

The first thing I bought was on Friday at Forever 21, this cute button up dress. I wasn't sure about how it would look on, but it was pretty cheap so I went for it anyway, and it actually turned out pretty cute. Another thing, it looks like it's polka dot, but they're actually hearts. I also got a new backpack because my zipper broke on my old tokidoki backpack, so even though it still works, it takes a few seconds/minutes to get it to zip up properly. Lastly, I got these tights, but I didn't take a picture so I linked it. I got a bunch of other things at the mall, like the Jumping Juniper bar shampoo and the Mask of Magnaminty from Lush, my favorite Rosebud Salve and the Stila Liquid Liner (IT'S AMAZING) from Sephora, and the Tamagotchi Corner Shop 3 game for DS from GameStop (on sale for $3).
Dress - Forever 21
$13.80
(I can't find it on the website so it's probably out of stock!)
Backpack - Forever 21
$32.80
(out of stock too..)

On Saturday, me and my dad went on a garage sale hunt, and much to our disappointment, most of them already closed. But we did end up going to two, and he got an old fashioned lantern, while I scored a cute button to put on my backpack, a pair of shoes, and a wallet.
Strawberry Festival pin - Garage sale
$0.25
Creeper-style shoes - Garage Sale
$4.00

Leather wallet - Garage Sale
$1.00

Later that night, my sister took me out to Nordstrom Rack, TJMaxx, and Target, and I found these shoes at TJMaxx for really cheap, and even though theyre a little similar to the Aldo ones, they're cheap enough that I could buy them anyway. I also love the color, they're a burgundy/maroon color that'll be great for fall!
Studded cap-toe loafers - TJMaxx
$16.99

Today (Sunday), I went down to downtown Seattle with my parents and went pretty crazy in Kinokuniya (in the International District.) I got a few buttons to add to my new backpack, since it's boring without any. I got one with Lumpy Space Princess because.. why not? The leaf one because it was so cute ;_______; and the tokidoki one just because I wanted a tokidoki one on my backpack and I like the cactus girl.  I got a twin pack of plain Moleskines because I've been looking for an excuse to buy a Moleskine (theyr're so nice ;___;) and since my AP Art teacher likes us to have sketchbook around, I took the opportunity. They're so beautiful.. I also got a dog ring from a quarter machine because they were REALLY CUTE ;__; and some macaroon erasers because they were cheap. Lastly, I got a nail caviar thing only because I went in the empty shop with this cute girl working there and she looked so excited to have a customer and I felt really bad so I bought it anyway. They look like fish eggs..

As you can see, I have a bad weakness for Chinatown because everything there is cute..
Pins - Kinokuniya
$0.99 each
Moleskine notebooks - Kinokuniya
$12.95 for twin pack
Dog Ring - Quarter Machine in Uwajimaya
$0.25
Macaroon erasers - Kinokuniya
$0.99 each
MORE PICTURES OF THEM BECAUSE THEY'RE SO ADORABLE

pa nail caviar - (I don't even know, some cosmetics shop in Uwajimaya)
$0.99

Here is a picture of the pins on my backpack:
I added one of my own Pucca pins because it looked weird with 4 pins.

On another note, I've taken up playing my DS again, so here's a picture of me playing Cooking Mama at 1am.
